Michigan Sheriff’s Association held their open house on Wednesday, May 15th, as they moved to their new location of 620 S, Capitol Ave. in Lansing. Lots of visitors toured and enjoyed the array of food put on by our very own Can-Team, Robin Sherman, Scott Goetz, Dawn Demelo, Holly Martin and Steve Stanich. The ice sculpture and shrimp display was a hit. Kudos Team.
Canteen Services would like to thank AJA and all the visitors to our booth in Grand Rapids, Michigan…

The Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003 was a bi-partisan piece of legislature meant to curb the rate of prison rapes and sexual assaults by instituting a “zero tolerance” policy as well as gathering research and aggregating data. The act established national standards of conduct and accountability for facilities and personnel.
In a proactive effort to protect our partners and employees, Canteen Services now provides training on the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003, or PREA, to all Canteen staff members. Training seminars will take place quarterly, with all team members projected to participate in a seminar by June.
